Discover Margaritas Gourmet

If you ever find yourself driving through Lakeland, Tennessee, there’s one place that instantly catches your attention - Margaritas Gourmet. Nestled at 9752 Mkt Grn Pl N Suite 111, Lakeland, TN 38002, United States, this vibrant Mexican-inspired diner has become a local favorite for anyone who craves bold flavors, generous portions, and that unmistakable feeling of home.

Walking in, you’re greeted by the inviting aroma of sizzling fajitas and freshly made tortillas. The décor strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and festive charm - bright colors, rustic wood accents, and upbeat Latin music that make every visit feel like a small celebration. The staff welcomes you like an old friend, remembering your favorite drink or how you prefer your tacos.

On my first visit, I ordered their house special enchiladas verdes paired with a classic lime margarita. The enchiladas came layered with tender shredded chicken, bathed in a tangy tomatillo sauce, and sprinkled with just the right amount of melted cheese. Each bite was balanced - zesty, creamy, and deeply satisfying. It’s no surprise that regulars often mention these enchiladas in their reviews. According to a recent survey by the National Restaurant Association, over 60% of diners say that consistent flavor is what keeps them coming back, and Margaritas Gourmet nails that every single time.

Their menu is a celebration of authentic flavors, yet it still manages to cater to everyone. From sizzling carne asada to fresh shrimp tacos and vegetarian burrito bowls, every dish tells its own story. One evening, I noticed a family at the next table sharing a sampler platter - nachos, quesadillas, and chimichangas - and it reminded me why this place feels special. It’s not just about food; it’s about connection. The chef, trained in traditional Mexican cuisine and seasoned with years of experience in Tennessee’s restaurant scene, blends authenticity with a creative twist that elevates each plate.

The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The signature margaritas range from the classic lime to exotic blends like mango-chili and strawberry-basil. Each one is crafted with care, balancing fresh fruit, premium tequila, and that little kick of salt that makes your taste buds dance. I once tried their seasonal guava margarita during summer, and it was the perfect refreshment on a warm Southern evening - not too sweet, just enough tang to keep it interesting.

Service here is consistently friendly and efficient. The servers don’t just take orders; they offer recommendations based on what’s freshest that day. Once, when I couldn’t decide between tacos al pastor and the grilled salmon special, my waiter suggested trying one of each - and it turned out to be the best decision of the night. Little touches like that show genuine hospitality, something many diners mention in their glowing online reviews.

What also stands out is how clean and well-kept the location is. Every table is spotless, the lighting is warm but not dim, and the atmosphere works equally well for a family dinner or a relaxed night out with friends. As a frequent restaurant reviewer, I’ve learned that ambiance contributes almost as much to the experience as flavor - and Margaritas Gourmet has mastered both.

For those who love supporting local businesses, this place represents the best of what Lakeland has to offer. It’s locally owned, community-driven, and committed to quality. According to Statista’s 2024 dining report, independent restaurants with a focus on fresh ingredients and customer loyalty outperform chains in guest satisfaction by nearly 25%. Margaritas Gourmet fits that trend perfectly - every meal feels crafted with care rather than mass-produced.

Whether you’re stopping by after work for happy hour, planning a weekend family dinner, or simply craving a good margarita and warm company, this Lakeland gem delivers an experience that lingers long after your last sip. You leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and the certainty that you’ll be back soon.

  • My new favorite place! We had a small group of 4 adults on a Saturday evening at 5pm and were sat right away! The service was amazing, the house margaritas were the same as anywhere else but the food was what really made it special! All 4 of us ordered different meals, but each one looked great and there were zero complaints! I’ll have to say I’m still thinking about the Chicken Chorizo Tacos- sooo yummy!!!! Not sure what they season the chicken with but man is it good!!! The refried beans and rice had a smoky taste to them, but that made it even better! Can’t wait to go on an evening when it isn’t raining to sit on the patio, enjoy a good margarita, amazing food and great time with friends and family!! The tacos do not come with Avocado like in the picture I’m posting- I ordered a side of it sliced to add. So- I spent $45 on 2 margaritas, a small cheese dip a side of avocado slices and Chicken Chorizo Tacos and it was worth every penny!

  • Went for lunch and had cilantro lime tacos and Chipotle chicken. The tacos were very good and tasty. The Chipotle chicken was delicious and different. I would definitely order it again. Salsa is excellent. Service was a little slow but very polite.

  • Truly enjoyed the experience here. The bartenders were very attentive and our food was fantastic! I got the Chipotle Chicken and it was awesome! My husband had the mixed fajitas and enjoyed them as well. The chips are everything I want in life... thick and perfectly crispy the salsa had great flavor as well. The location is super nice, just a 6ish minute drive from the house. Will absolutely be back.

  • New spot in a great development off hwy 70 between Bartlett and Lakeland. We loved it so much last Friday, so we decided to come back for Taco Tuesday! The house margaritas were on special, and we decided to try them out, but we weren't sure how good they would be. We were pleasantly surprised, very delicious, and no cutting corners! The tacos were on special and were very good, along with the homemade guacamole and hand-made tortilla chips. We sat at the bar, which is a very nice size and beautiful. They have a very friendly staff and make you feel welcomed. The seating area of the restaurant is large, and the tables are spaced out nicely, so you're not feeling too close to other tables. The atmosphere has a very upbeat vibe, and the noise is at a low level, even with higher ceilings. If you like sports they have huge TV's all around the entire restaurant. There are no bad seating to watch your favorite sporting events. We were told about this place by a friend of ours and it was a good tip! What I have learned, exploring new things in your own backyard, you may discover a new little gem!

  • I had lunch and the food was very good! My server was named Freddy and he was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is great for families and friends, wide open space with TV’s playing sports and a full length bar. I will def be back for the Cilantro Lime Tacos.

  • It was my first time and I had a great experience. Great food choices and very fine dining indeed. I recommend the mojitos and the tacos cochinita pibil! Will be back.

  • They have a different menu compared to the norm. I will say everything seemed to have a sweet flavor to it. The enchiladas were good. The burrito and house salad were good. My husband didn't care for the green colored salad dressing. He said the hard taco was bland. I had a spicy pineapple margarita, while it was flavorful, it was very weak, almost virgin. I was let down with that considering your name is "margaritas".

  • Delicious food and excellent service! We both had the enchiladas verde—so good. I swapped shrimp for the chicken (honestly, that should be a standard option!) and it was perfect. We also tried the sangria margaritas—most places call it a swirl—and they were spot on. Whoever said the margaritas were weak must be serious drinkers, because ours were perfectly potent. This place is definitely going to be our go-to in Lakeland!
